Mission Statement
Laverton Community Children’s Centre Inc. is a multi care approved service. Our service is designed to provide a range of flexible care types and advocates for affordable and accessible care to the whole community. Our service is an integrated model, providing types of care that include, but are not restricted to:
- Long Day Care
- Kindergarten
- Alternative Care Programme
- Toy Library
- Community Space
- Family Support Services
- Playgroups
Management and staff will ensure all educational and developmental programmes are offered to children of all abilities. The Centre will strive to meet the needs of children, families and communities by incorporating latest research into the delivery of programmes:
- Childhood development
- Quality care practices
- Parent education
- Environmental sustainability
We will provide a diverse range of programmes and services that are targeted at those who are disadvantaged; a focus that reflects both social justice and community needs. All programmes and services will have a community development focus. We will provide emotional support and resources for the alleviation of poverty, distress, misfortune, destitution and helplessness.
